Scraper

A scraper prevents the adhering dirt and dust of the rod from being drawn into hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Scrapers exist in a variety of materials; the most common ones are PTFE (with or without fillers), elastomer and polyurethane.

Scraper A2

The Scraper A2 consists of a PTFE element with two wiper edges and an o-ring as preload element. The scraper A2 has excellent sliding properties, runs stick-slip free and has good media resistance. This is ideal for all applications with heavy dirt infestations. The second sealing lip wipes off the residual oil film from the rod. This is ideal for small installation spaces in comparison to the A3 design
The PTFE compound is filled with bronze or carbon graphite to improve the compressive strength. O-rings are available in a variety of different materials.
