The current geopolitical developments in the Middle East are increasingly leading to noticeable changes along international supply chains.
As a company, we are in close contact with our partners and suppliers and are monitoring the situation continuously.
At present, the shipping and logistics routes we use remain stable. Even sensitive transport routes are currently passable. At the same time, the market as a whole is proving to be significantly more volatile than usual. Short-term developments – such as those resulting from political decisions or security-related events – cannot be ruled out.
In the air freight sector, we are already observing rising transport costs coupled with limited capacity. This may lead to restricted availability, particularly in the case of short-term demand.
We are increasingly receiving reports from our international suppliers of cost increases, some of which are significant. These particularly affect energy- and raw material-intensive sectors.
At the same time, it is becoming clear that these developments are not limited to international procurement markets. National suppliers are also frequently integrated into global value chains and are consequently facing rising costs for energy, raw materials or intermediate products.
As a result, price trends may continue throughout the entire supply chain – regardless of the country of origin of the goods or raw materials. Although we strive to ensure price stability for our customers, our ability to influence matters is naturally limited within globally interconnected supply chains. Against this backdrop, price adjustments may occur, depending on the product and further market developments.
Transparency and reliability are our top priorities. We are monitoring developments very closely and will continue to do everything in our power to minimise the impact on our customers.
If you have any questions or require individual consultation, we are always happy to discuss your specific situation directly with you to find suitable solutions together.
We will, of course, inform you of any relevant changes at an early stage.
